Happy reading, and stay safe! Mrs. Needoba It's time for a Read Aloud! This is one of the things I miss the most; I really miss reading aloud to all the students! So I thought I would share one of my favourite books as a read aloud this week: Waiting is not Easy! by Mo Willems. Click on the video below to hear this story. These are challenging times and waiting is definitely not easy right now, but in the end, it will be worth it! Stay safe and healthy! Little Inventors is a great website for anything Maker and Applied Design, Skills, and Technology (ADST). They post daily challenges to keep your creativity flowing! Be sure to click on the link and start creating! From their website: "Daily challenges - time to be creative! We might all have to stay home at the moment, but there are still plenty of problems, serious or funny, that can use your incredible imaginations to solve! So time to get creative and to take up the Little Inventors daily challenges!" Let's have a little fun! Here is a 30 Day LEGO Challenge for all of you to try. All you have to do is click on the picture, gather your LEGO or building blocks, and start at Day 1! Don't forget to have fun and take pictures of your creations! If you'd like, please send your photos to [email protected]; we would love to see what you make! Hello Hixon Students and Families!! I didn't think that March 12th would be the last time I saw all your smiling faces for this long! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. I just wanted to pop in from my work-space at home to pass along a message to you: I'm thinking about you, I miss you, and I can't wait to see you all again soon! If you want to say hi, please either 1. Send a message on the "Contact Us" area of this website. 2. Call the school and I will reach out as soon as I can. 3. If you have email, email me at [email protected] We'll stay in touch! Stay safe and healthy, Mrs. Needoba |
